Have a STRONG day today. Game face switched ON.
“I value myself enough to know that my personal morality is a beacon that demands to be followed.” — it is fantastic if other people see you as a role model to follow, but it is arrogant to expect them to do so.  ”I value myself knowing that my behavior is an item of attraction that people just want to follow…like a piece of [exquisite] artwork you can’t pull...

I don’t go “bitchin’” and “hatin’” on other women like most other women do. And is it wrong or weird to appreciate the female figure in a non-sexual way? God cleverly designed Woman: every flaw & every minute detail of the female body is created so perfectly imperfect. I always wonder why us women are so insecure of ourselves. What for? I am...

The Guest House This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought,...

It’s been the longest time since I’ve opened my tumblr and I wonder why they haven’t sent me a tumblr birthday notice. Hmm. Some random updates: I quit my job as a gym instructor slash “cover” girl and am now pursuing my career as a freelance personal trainer.  I’m this close to performing a scorpion kick. Uh, okay, not that close but I like having a positive...

Mat Happy Sooner or later, your yoga mat will need replacing. After it cushions its final Child’s Pose, you might try the following ideas for keeping it out of the landfill. Eric Levenstein, a yoga teacher at the Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, YMCA, recycles sticky mats throughout his house. He cuts them to make nonskid pads for cushioning hallway carpet runners and for anchoring the fabric on...

Getting the best nutrition out of a vegetarian... →
This year has been a year full of positive changes for me. One of them is going vegetarian! I’ve completely given up red meat and pork for health and wellness reasons. I still eat fish and eggs occasionally and added tons of fresh, raw veggies, fruit, beans, and nuts to my diet. So far my eating habits has really done my body good. Maybe next year I’ll go vegan? Let’s see..

I’ve stumbled on numerous articles describing women with curvaceous hips, breasts, and bellies as “real women”. But how about those women who are naturally born slim and slender? I think it’s unfair to assume that just because a woman who has this body type automatically has an eating disorder. Or how about those women who live a fit and healthy lifestyle? Naturally, these...
